Aunt Alexandra forced me into doing the pageant. I hate dressing up mostly when it involves dressing up in a ham costume. However that ham costume saved my life and if it wasn't for it Bob Ewell would of probably killed me.
That day I was not expecting to get jumped by Bob Ewell. Also I was not expecting that Boo would be the person to save me and Jem. However, Boo had killed a human being. Boo killed Bob Ewell because he was trying to kill Jem and I. I finally saw what Boo looked like and I see the world from his point of you. I am walking in his skin.

The Missionary Circle and Bob Ewell
Today I figured Aunt Alexandra is a very strong person. She is not as mean and heartless as I thought she was. We were at home doing a missionary circle that we always do and talk about peoples problems and the problems around the world. The member of the circle insulted my father and our family. My aunt did not stand up for us, instead she went to the kitchen and cried about it and then she came back into the missionary circle and acted like nothing had happened.
We are scared that Bob Ewell wants to hurt me and my family. He has no education and he seems to hate everyone and everything in town. Bob has been Tom Robinsons wife around as if she wants to hurt her. and she seems like she hates my family for making him look like a fool.

Dolphus Raymond and Tom Robinson
The day of the trial we saw this man drinking out of
a bag. Supposedly this man is always drunk and he had children’s with a colored
women. Children’s that is half black and half white. His name is Dolphus
Raymond and he is a rich guy. No one understands why he is always drunk but
they think he must be much messed up to the head to have children with a
colored woman.
Tom Robinson is a Negro
who is accused of rape by Bob Ewell. Supposedly tom abused of Bob Ewell
daughter Mayella. I already knew what the verdict was going to be. I learned it
from my father. Sadly they found him guilty and now his family is going to
suffer.
The Run Away and the Angry Men
It was another day that
Aunt Alexandra and Atticus have lectured me. I hate it when they lecture me, especially
when Atticus does it as well. I was angry so I picked a fight with Jem. When Atticus
came to separate us I went to my bedroom and something scared me! I thought
there was a snake in my room. I called Jem to try to take it out and we found
something that surprised us. It was Dill! He had run away from home because he
said his new stepfather locked him up in a basement. I was so excited to have him
living with me secretly but Jem ruined everything. He called Atticus and told
him everything. However Dill stayed with us for the rest of the summer.
Another night Atticus
went out in the middle of the night somewhere. We did not know where so we
followed him. Jem was worried that Atticus was in some type of danger. When we
were about to leave a group of men showed up at the police station looking for
Tom. They seemed angry and impatient with my father. I showed up and recognized
one of them. When me and Mr. Cunningham finished talking they left and we went
back home.

Calpurnia's Church and the basket
It is Sunday and my father has not
been home for a week. Calpurnia has been taking care of us ever since he left. She
usually takes Sundays off so she can go to church. However she decided we were
going with her this Sunday. She made us look so pretty and presentable for her
black friends.
At Calpurnia’s church everyone was
so nice to us. Even though at the beginning it didn’t seem like that. However,
we learned many thing such as they are a poor church and they don’t have enough
books for everyone to read. They are not very educated and they also need to
get to a certain amount of money in a basket for everyone to leave.

The Shot Gun and The Cement
The school year began again and I am in second grade now. I hate
it, I cannot stand coming into school every day. Today as Jem and I walked home
we noticed that the knothole had new things in it. At last we found a box with many things
in it including two dolls that represent Jem and I and an old watch. When we
went back to see the knothole again it was sealed with cement. When I asked Mr.
Radley why the knothole was sealed, he said it was because the tree was dying.
Me, The Third Wheel
Since
Dill and my brother Jeremy have developed a very strong relationship lately I decided
to go and visit Miss Maudie Atkinson. Miss Maudie was childhood friends with Uncle
Jimmy. She loves to bake and do gardening. She has told me many things but most
importantly she has told me the truth about Boo Radley. She told me that Boo
Radley was still alive! That all of the rumors about him were false; that he
was a very polite and friendly as a child. However if he was not crazy as a
child he should have gone crazy by now.
I found
out that Dill and Jem got into a lot of trouble with Atticus. Supposedly they
were intruding the Radleys property to leave a note for boo. They were inviting
Boo Radley out for ice cream with them. My father caught them in the act and
asked for them to stop disturbing the Radleys and to stop playing the game
called “Boo Radley.”
The Knothole and The Radleys
One
day after school I ran past the Radleys house as fast as I could. However something
caught my eye by their house. I went back to check what I saw and there it was!
It was a piece of tinfoil winking at me from a far. I walked to the tree to get
a closer look inside the knothole. I found a piece of gum! I took it and ran
home with it and ate it. The next day my brother and I passed by it again and there
were two ancient pennies just laying there for us to take them. We do not know
what to do with them.
When Dill came to visit us again over the summer we tried so many new things. We told him so many stories, but the first day was not the best. We were rolling in tires; this game has always been fun for us, but not today. My brother was upset with me so he pushed me with all of his strength and I rolled uncontrollably all the way to the Radleys front porch. I ran from it as fast as I could and never looked back. I heard someone laughing from inside of the house but I did not comment it to anyone. I was too scared to even grab the tire so we could keep playing.

My First Day of School
Today was my first day of first grade and it did not go well for me. My teacher is Miss Caroline; she is about 21 years old and brought a new way of teaching to the school. She does not like me at all because my father Atticus Finch taught me how read. Also, Calpurnia our cook taught me how to write and that angered my teacher Miss Caroline. I decided I do not want to go back to school but I am being forced to.
Charles Baker “Dill” Harris
I
met this new boy today, he’s name is Charles but we call him Dill. He is a
pretty nice boy and loves to dare people to do extreme things. He only comes
over the summer to Miss Rachel Haverford’s house. He is going to seven this
year and he is very proud of knowing how to read. However his name is way too
big for his height.
Dill, Jem and I became really good friends as soon as we met. We played games together all summer. He learned everything he needed to know about the Radley family. One day his curiosity kicked in and he wanted to make boo Radley come out of his house. Since my brother was too scared he dared him to run and touch the house.
